Hello dear friend and reader! 

I can tell that I like you already.

Welcome to our blog! I'm glad you stopped by.
Let me formally introduce ourselves. We're Shauna and Alex, and we've got three little kidlets around here - Lucy, Todd and Anna. (We apparently like 4-letter names!)
This blog is an attempt to capture our little world in the here and now through writing and photography.

Our family started in 2008 when Alex and I got married. We've pretty much been juggling school and little kids ever since.

Now on to the mini bios!

Shauna - The primary author of the blog (meaning only author). She has a deep love for her husband and children, but that kind of goes without saying. She hopes to one day finish her Bachelor's degree amid changing diapers and outings to the library. Loves good movies and chocolate milk and she has probably tasted every fish taco out there. Writing and photography have become outlets for her during this exhausting, yet rewarding stage of motherhood.

Alex - Amazing father, best husband, and hardworking student. He is currently attending medical school where he is knee deep in books and lectures learning all he can to one day be a trusted and fantastic doctor. His sense of humor keeps things light and fun around here. He's got three little admirers who can't wait for him to come home each day. Make that four.

Lucy - Her name means "light" and how perfectly fitting for our little firecracker! Lucy loves kindergarten, sending letters in the mail, equally loves receiving letters in the mail, and is a fiercely loyal friend, sister and daughter. There's never a short supply of affection from her.

Todd - He's three. He's rowdy. He's all boy. He loves to create and figure out how things work. He loves robots, Buzz Lightyear, airplanes, and swings. He is devilishly handsome, just like his dad. And he just has a way with people.... he can easily make that old lady at the grocery store swoon!

Anna - Usually goes by "Annie" around here, or "Squawker". Basically she's adorable. She's got the whole baby thing down pretty good. Finally started walking at 15 months. Little bit of a late bloomer there. But that's ok. I think she'll be singing songs and reciting poems in no time. She is a jibber-jabber!
She can be a stubborn little thing at times, but she is the sweetest, most loving baby you'll ever meet.
